Oregon fire chief loses 2 homes and station, ‘the whole town is gone’
A fire chief in western Oregon lost her two family homes and town fire station hours apart. Upper McKenzie Rural Fire Chief Christiana Rainbow Plews issued a level 3 evacuation order for residents to leave the McKenzie River area, while about 20 miles downriver from the fire's origins her family was evacuating their home.
